FORCE OF HABIT UPDATE:

To all my readers of "FORCE OF HABIT", I thank you for your consideration, the story will continue, and I apologize for the long periods between old and new panels of story and illustration.
Unfortunately I will need to postpone the next few installments until Christmas week. These illustrations are a labor of love, and I only want to improve upon what has been rendered so far. I am
very sorry to impede upon the momentum of this story, but I promise to make a more concerted
effort to make "FORCE OF HABIT"a read worth waiting for. I am also getting interest to turn this story into a graphic novel.

"FORCE OF HABIT" - AN ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATED STORY BY MICHAEL GAREL

Welcome to an original illustrated story about a young man who has recently joined the Franciscan Friar's in New York City, Christian brother's who follow the word of Jesus Christ, and the teaching's
of the Holy Bible. Brother Issac is twenty-seven years old, a young man who is having a tug of war within himself, conflicted about the vows he has opted to take as a Franciscan brother, yet intensely fearful of losing his identity within the Mohawk Indian culture, he was born into.

Born of Irish and American Indian parent's, Brother Issac was baptized, and raised in the Catholic
faith, but his father, an American Mohawk Indian, was always proud of his spiritual teaching's. As we enter into this story of faith and compromise, we begin to see an impassioned young man take on a sacred narrative, unfolding and discovering things within and outside of himself, in order to find meaning and purpose in his life, something we can all relate to.

Our story opens in the month of October, just before Halloween, Brother Issac refused to shave his
head, even as he was received as a postulate within the Franciscan brotherhood. Wearing a traditional haircut of the Mohawk tribe, a personal statement of his American Indian heritage. He is being questioned by a Friar house director, Father Genesis, and his assistant Brother Testament, in
a quiet vestibule of the Saint Sebastian Friary.

As the feisty young Brother Issac reveals his frustration, and dissatisfaction of certain rules within the Catholic faith, his elder Franciscan brother's try to use compassionate diplomacy, in order to reach the former postulate. Coming to terms with both his belief's, and his personal convictions will not be easy, but ultimately, Brother Issac has nothing to lose and everything to gain...

Note to all reader's: This story is not based on any actual event's, or is designed to purposely misappropriate the teaching's of the Catholic faith in any way. It is my intent to both entertain
and render a sincere portrayal of a young man's journey through Christian faith, and with respect
to the Franciscan Brethren, I am confident that this narrative will be accomplished successfully.
